Remarketing

Reaching people who have already visited your website again with ads.

With remarketing, you remind visitors who didn't make an enquiry on their first visit about your business. It works through Google Ads and Meta ads and requires consent for cookies.

What does this mean in practice?

Remarketing, also known as retargeting, shows ads to people who have already visited your website but haven't made an enquiry. While they browse other sites, YouTube, Facebook or Instagram, they see your business again.

Why does this matter for your business?

Most visitors don't decide on their first visit. They compare providers first. With remarketing, you show up again at the right moment, usually for less money than advertising to people who don't know you at all yet.

Examples and best practices

  • Create audiences, for example visitors to a service page or your pricing page.
  • Show a different message from the first ad, such as reviews or an offer.
  • Limit how often someone sees your ad, so you don't become annoying.
  • Take cookie consent and Consent Mode into account.

How we do it at Ikoon

Remarketing is part of the Google Ads campaign and Facebook and Instagram campaign modules. With the GDPR and cookie package, you handle cookie consent properly, so you measure and advertise within the rules.
