Ikoon Media handles your personal data with care. In this statement, you can read which data we process, why we do so and what rights you have. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we process?

• Details you fill in yourself, for example in the contact form, the request for a design proposal or the analysis of your website: name, company name, e-mail address, phone number, your website address and your message.
• Details needed for a project and invoicing, such as address, Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number.
• Technical data about your visit, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view.

What do we use your data for?

• To get in touch with you and respond to your request.
• To prepare a design proposal, analysis or quote.
• To carry out an assignment and to build, host and maintain your website.
• To invoice and to meet our legal obligations.
• To improve our website.

On what legal basis?

We process your data because you have given us your consent, because it is necessary for a contract with you, because the law requires it (such as the statutory obligation to keep tax records) or because we have a legitimate interest in doing so, such as securing and improving our website.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep enquiries that do not lead to an assignment for a maximum of 12 months. We keep customer data for as long as we work together. We keep invoices and records for 7 years, as required by law.

Do we share your data?

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us provide our services, such as our hosting, e-mail and accounting providers. We make agreements with these parties about the security and use of your data.

Cookies and security

Our website uses strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies so that the site works properly. For example, they remember your cookie choice, keep your conversation with Nooki going and let you log in to My Ikoon. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. Without your consent, Google Analytics places no cookies. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. We store your choice for 12 months. You can change or withdraw it at any time via ‘Cookies’ at the bottom of every page.

We protect your data with measures including an encrypted connection (SSL), daily backups and restricted access.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to the processing or have your data transferred. Send your request to info@ikoonmedia.nl and we will respond within four weeks. Not happy with how we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
