With the KvK number, you can look up a company in the Business Register. It belongs on your invoices, quotes and website.
What does this mean in practice?
Every company that registers with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce receives an eight-digit KvK number. That number identifies your business in the Business Register. If your company has several branches, each branch also has its own branch number.
Why does this matter for your business?
Your KvK number belongs on your invoices, quotes, letters and website. Customers and suppliers use it to check that your company exists and who is authorised to sign. A visible KvK number makes you more trustworthy.
Examples and best practices
- Put your KvK number in your website's footer.
- Include it on every invoice and quote.
- Check new business customers via the Business Register.
- Your KvK number doesn't replace your VAT number; both belong on your invoice.
How we do it at Ikoon
On an Ikoon website, your company details, including your KvK number, have a fixed place, for example in the footer and in your terms and conditions. Thanks to the structured data we add as standard, search engines can read your company details easily too.
